- George Herbert
George has been a professional photographer since 1979. He began his career shooting landscapes and nature throughout the Northwest, marketing his images to several national magazines. Later he began writing articles to accompany his images.
In 1992, George started shooting youth sports full-time. As an avid sports fan, he found this a natural pursuit. As he expanded his business with recreational leagues and school sports, in just a few years, he became recognized as one of the best youth sports photographers in the USA. Sports photographers across the country have emulated his business principles and marketing techniques.
Over the years, George added action photography to his skills set. In 2005, he closed his photography business and retired. He still shoots some action occasionally for professional and semi-professional sports teams to keep his skills sharp and he is still in demand.
George served as President of the Blue Mountain Photo Club for several years and still joins the club members on photo safaris, shooting landscapes and nature. He loves sharing his knowledge of photography with new members and leading occasional photo trips.
